There is a wide array of wild birds that can be attracted to feeders. We offer a variety of feeders to accommodate nearly every bird you might find in your backyard. Here are a few tips to help you select the feeder that is right for your feathered friends.
Select the Right Feeder - Nectar Feeders

- Oriels and Butterflies can also be attracted with specialized feeders.
- Niger or Thistle Feeders

- Seed Feeders
- Attract nearly all birds that feed on seeds
- Small birds such as Finches, Wrens, and Chickadees
- Songbirds such as Robins, Cardinals, and Titmice
- Nut/Large Sunflower Seed Feeders
- Attract Larger Birds such as Jays, cardinals, blackbirds, robins
- Suet Feeders
- Particularly effective in cold and wet months.
- Spring/Summer: attract all types of birds based on food offered.
- Winter: Will attract all birds that over winter in your area.
Tips for successful bird feeding - Hang or mount your feeder high (not so high that you can't refill it.) in an open space that is easy to view. Tree limbs are great for seed feeders. A sunny spot under a building overhang near a window is a good spot for a nectar type feeder.
- Place your feeder in a place where seed litter & sprouts will not be a problem.
- Fill your feeder with a single type of seed to prevent selective feeding and the associated extra waste and weeds. If you wish to offer a variety of food, we suggest multiple feeders. Additional feeders also allow smaller birds to feed without being intimidated by larger more aggressive birds.
- Keep your feeders full and clean. Once birds begin to feed at your feeder, they will come to depend on it for sustenance. This is particularly important in the winter months when food is more scarce. Clean feeders as needed to attract more birds, insure proper seed or nectar flow, and keep seed fresh longer.
