Welcome to growing mushrooms. Our mushroom growing kits are designed to let you grow mushrooms at home. They contain all the necessary components to grow several crops of mushrooms over a 6 to 12 week period of time. The mushroom substrate has already been prepared and inoculated with the mushroom mycelium (the fungus) at the mushroom farm. All you need to do is add water and wait for the mushrooms to grow. Usually within 3-5 weeks after starting the mushroom kit, the first of the mushrooms are ready to be picked. You should have weeks of fun and enjoyment as you harvest one mushroom after another. Our mushroom kits are designed to be grown indoors at temperatures between 60 and 74 degrees. Included are easy to understand instructions. Mushroom yields will vary depending on the variety of the mushrooms grown and the care and conditions the kit receives.

A WARNING ABOUT MUSHROOMS
While all of the mushroom species we offer are safe and delicious, many wild mushrooms are poisonous, and sometimes deadly. Due to the wide diversity of mushroom species, many look similar. Therefore, a poisonous mushroom may look just like a harmless and tasty one. Unfortunately, several people die each year by mistakenly picking and eating the wrong type. However, a few people do relish and hunt tasty wild mushrooms, but this requires experience and expertise. If you know what you are doing, you know who you are, but he average person should NEVER pick and eat wild mushrooms. As they say, better safe than sorry!
