Tips for starting seeds: - Moisture is key
The early days of seed germination are crucial for success. You should never let germinating seeds or fresh sprouts go dry. However, they should not stand in water either as this leads to rot, mold, and disease. - Seeds need sun
The typical garden vegetable can't get enough warm sunshine. If you sprout your seeds indoors before the weather breaks, place them near a window that gets warm afternoon sun. If you plant outside, you can plant as soon as the fear of late frost has passed and the warm afternoons lengthen. Always plant your veggies in a spot that gets good, long, warm, exposure (South or West facing). - Feed your Vegetables
It takes food to make food! Most garden vegetables are heavy feeders. To insure healthy plants, high yields, and overall tastiness you need to fertilize your garden regularly. Always begin with quality soil, and then boost it by mixing in natural, dry fertilizer throughout the season. You may also feed with liquid or foliar fertilizer for a quicker and more direct application.
